I already have a 20GB Ipod. It holds most of my music, but it's too bulky for running and it freezes whenever I run for more than 1/2 hour. Will the 1GB nano do the same or should I go with the Shuffle?

Both the Nano and the Shuffle use flash memory, so they will be pretty much impervious to the bouncing they will get when you run. And the Nanos are pretty tough. Check this site:

They beat one to death and were surprised at how much it took.

I think the Ipod Shuffle would be better running beause its not as thin as the nano, and it looks a bit more suitable for running.

Well both are slim and good to run with. The difference... Nano will have a screen. Shuffle doesn't have a screen and just shuffles.

both are lightweight and small and both have flash memory so there won't be any problem with skipping...personally i would go with the nano since it has the screen...i found that the shuffle was annoying to use cause i couldn't see what was playing

IPOD's aren't really meant for running, but I have an old 15GB Regular IPOD which I have had for almost three years now and have run with it almost every day. Has stood the test of time.
