I am going on a mission trip to Honduras. The church we will be working with has asked us to bring a Bass Guitar, because they do not have one for there praise band. It is a very small church about the size of a normal sized house; it has maybe 50-60 members at most. I am guessing they have a begginer to intermidete Bass Guitarist. What is a relitivley good CHEAP Bass Guitar pack/brand?

squier, peavey and yamaha are three brands that will give you starter packs with everything but someone to play them. any of those packs will be in the under $300 area, and will come with an amp, a bag for the bass, a tuner, etc (all the stuff ppl usually get when they buy one new). the yamaha ones usually have a 20 watt amp, which would be a little nicer for a church setting, it will sound a little better at a slightly higher volume. good luck!

You can try Target, and get their bass for $150. It's either a Washburn or Gibson brand. If you don't see it in any of the Targets in your major city area, try Target.com.

Most bass guitars start at least $300 higher than that!

As for amp, you can try to find a Wal-Mart in your major city area, sold for $60 approx. But the catch is, you can only hook up one thing to that amp. the brand is First Act. First Act also have a website. Try First Act instruments in the search engine.

Squire is a cheap brand that is a knock-off of Fender. They make OK basses. I bought one once and I liked it. Good beginner bass.
Do they have an amp for the thing?

My pal offered the Fender one and it replaced into crap. i'd bypass with the Peavy by way of the indisputable fact that's slightly more desirable suitable construct guitar. yet a lot of people swear through Fender. bypass with the peavey though
