Run DMC, LLCoolJ and the ones who really started it all Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five. Although if you go back far enough "Rappers Delight" was the very first released rap song.

A fourth one would be Snoop Dogg because he makes me laugh even when he's serious. (Was he ever serious?)
(And although i wouldnt put The Roots because they're more soul/funk, I love them too. So they would be fifth.)
