People want to grow up so quickly. I've have a few years out of high school so...when you are young, you want to be older and more mature, and having sex is one way that teenagers can get that feeling. It's also our generation- we like risk, and we like to make our parents very nervous. It also depends on where you go to school...nobody really cared who did and didn't have sex at my school.
I also know a few girls who had sex in high school and are my age that are stuck with children now, because some of them didn't think about what they were doing.

bc many kids belie that all other peers arround them are doing it. and in high school the number one goal at that age is to "fit in" and if that means losing your virginity "like everyone else" then so be it.
Also when u are in your teens u always want to be older. EX ) if your 14 ull most likey tell someone u just meet ur 17. So i guess many kids belie that losing your virginity will make u feel older, and i guess ultimetly "cooler."
...I dont know... this is just my opinion...

I'm in college and really it might seem cool but after High School it really does not matter. In fact none of that matters when you graduate. So don't worry about it and be yourself. It might be hard at times but in the end... no one in High School will really remember what went on. I can't even remember most of the people's names that I graduated with.

Because teenagers like to rebel. Anything that you tell a teenager not to do, they will want to do and they will think that those who have done it are cool. So, people say not to have sex in high school and teenagers automatically deem those that have had sex to be cool.

maybe because that is what everyone else is doing (thats if they are telling the truth about doing it). But personally I do not think that it is "cool."

i don't think it's "cool" . i think it's a trend. teens think they are the only one's in america who haven't lost their virginity but's it's better to wait because it's not as special if it's with soemone you've known for a week!

it's not even really what's "cool" anymore, it's just kinda the norm....im a high school student, and while i still hold my v card, i know that me and all my peers don't really see it as being that big of a deal anymore.

Sex is kinda like a phase in life. Like puberty for instance. When you learn about puberty and how it affects you, you just can't wait for things to get bigger. That's kinda how sex is too; you just can't wait for it.
