good question that exposes a double standard. If a black man makes "fun" of his race like D Chappelle does its comedy and it is supposed to be funny but if another race does then it's racism?! cmon wake up hyper sensitive, non history studying public! Blacks use the N word in a negative manner as well as a street saying for the buddies. The word is made to be an insult so as a gentleman we shouldn't say it. but wake up and stop bellyaching about oppression! Get over it, move on that was then this is now live in the present not the past! There hasn't been one race of people alive in existence that has not known the chains of oppression at some time or another. Do the History Africans also had other Africans as slaves and also oppressed one another. Ever heard of the Watussi tribe or the Zulus? they
fought other tribes. No people dont want to hear that because sadly many today not just blacks but many people want an easy way out they want to replace hard work discipline, integrity with give me a hand out Gov't should take care of me. why reward slothfulness? the Bible says he who does not work does not eat! be productive in society not a burden! you see many also make their revenue (Money) off of racial tension in America. Bottom line lose the double standard, lose all racism! racism is not defined as white who hate but racism is simply anyone of a certain ethnic group who hates another cause they aint part of his ethnic group so lets drop the reverse racism line that doesn't exist. lets be responsible for our own actions and make a better place!

Think of it like this -
If an entire race of people put your race down, oppressed you, forced you into slavery and then for so long used that term negatively against your race wouldn't you - years after most of it has passed - still get kinda angry at someone from that race who called you that name? And as for black people being able to say it to each other well.....
Which one would you be more offended by -
Your best friend calling you a "*****" (and you know they're just joking around with you)
Or a complete stranger calling you a "*****" (and you really don't know how they feel)

I can insult my mother but you can't. It's a law.
Where the law breaks down is that I am an immigrant and I'm white and when I bellyache about immigrants who are taking rather than giving to their new country, I get evil eyes - because I don't LOOK like an immigrant.

No, you can't say it. African Americans don't want whites to use that word, because whites used it for a long time--and many still do--in a derrogatory manner. They don't believe that whites should now have the right to use it in the way that they use it with other African Americans.

If a black person calls you a cracker..then you can call them whatever you want. If you dont hang with black people..probably not the best idea..it they are yo *****'s..then they'll let you call them that..or kick your ***! I expect that all black people have the same courtesy (sp?) for us crackers..that would be nice.

Its called reverse racism. Its where the poeple that were the most discriminated against are allowed to discriminate against those that did it to them. If you ask me, it is just as bad a racism.
