I want to play monopoly which piece do you pick and why?

The way I do it when I play monopoly, so arguments over pieces won't start, is I put them all in a bag and we draw randomly

depends on what statement u want to make about ur game
if u want to be sneaky and fly in under the radar the thimble the iron is ur choices
if u want to be fast and get as much property as possible right away pick the car, or the train
or if u want to be conservative and hold ur money, the money bags
or finally if u sole priority is to take others out, the cannon the boot or the battle ship

The shoe to stomp all over you---in dead serious monopoly there can be no friendship---now when the board goes away--(after I have all the money) We'll be friends again and I'll take you to a really good meal-------

The shoe. I have always picked the shoe since I was a little girl and it's been so long that I don't remember why anymore. But probably because it's an itty bitty shoe and it's cute! :)

I always pick the money bag (I don't think all games came with one, or if it's just a newer piece).
It makes me think of Scrooge McDuck. And who can question a duck that owns his own money bin.
