Gone with the wind is a great movie!!! It has everything, action, romance, even murder! And the main character is a backstabbing whore!!!

I feel you are so, sooo lucky. When I was a really young kid my mom was the biggest fan of Gone with the Wind ...needless to say, my whole family ended up watching that damn movie something like 40 times :-) ...I do love my mom to death, but, watching gone with the wind 40 times is worse than having to give birth to quintuplets while being a guy :-)

Each Person has there own opinion. You should watch it just to say Hey Ive seen that ! You may like it where others didn't. Or you may hate it where others loved it. Right now you are telling People that you have never seen it. Most People will say Oh my Gosh you have never seen Gone with the wind ??? You will never know if YOU like it untel you watch it .

I love the movie gone with the wind. In the movie, that quote is unexpected. It's a great movie if you're willing to put 4 hours into a movie. If you have a short attention span, don't bother.

I think it's worth watching. It's a good story about people not giving up despite the odds they face, even when they seem to be totally defeated--when there's absolutely no hope left.
It's also a good story about a cunning young woman. Scarlett's sneaky and underhanded sometimes, but she's very clever.
It's really long, though. Be prepared to pause several times for bathroom breaks.

I love that quote and even though it's certainly nothing to be shocked about now, it was very controversial for its time. I would definately recommend watching this movie. I wasn't sure if I would like this movie because I don't usually get into a lot of older movies, but I really did like it a lot.

NO. Gone With The Wind is too long, too boring, and too messed up. Watch better movies, they are out there. Try Hitchcock, or The Apartment, or Blazing Saddles.

It's a great movie. That quote was controversial at the time because it was "dirty". Movies had been without swear words for years, but this one broke the boundary. I would seriously recommend seeing it, as it is a true classic.

We all have our prefferences, however, I would suggest you keep an open mind to this film. If you take into consideration the era of time it was made. You could try setting the mood for it, so to speak...placing yourself back in time. Myself, I have tried doing the mood setting, and waited for a weekend for pure relaxation with no interuptions to enjoy and watch this film, and I did enjoy it. Would I watch it again? You bet!

It gives a good portrayal of a family iin the South during the war, and it is an excellent love story. By all means see it!
