I believe so.
The girl could act, I don't see how anyone who has ever seen and old Monroe film, can say that she can't.
I found her classy, and although she could be some what clueless, I found that to be an act also.
She would have never died the way that she did, if she would have been clueless.

I think we will never really know. She may have had potential, but she didn't live long enough to have that many roles where she could showcase her talent. But I do think she had a sense of what comedy should be and pretty good timing. But the powers that were, were more interested in selling her sex appeal than her actual acting ability. I thought Some Like it Hot was incredibly funny and in part due to Marilyn Monroe.

I think she could have been. Hollywood in those days were run by real tyrants. She was forced to play the bimbo most of the time. Later, in her short career she seemed to be sprouting a bit of real talent, though. She had a lot on her plate being the It girl of the day, basically, and it just got to be too much for her. Poor Marilyn.

NO! She was a bottle blonde, drug induced, piece of meat to men. I think somehow women today should be thinking more about intelligence than acting like a tramp to get attention. But Madonna (the old singer)is a protype of this kind of trash today.
