I'm going to my son's graduation tomorrow.

I will be wearing a black suit. I purchased heels that have go across the front of my toes (four little round tube like straps held together in the center with a little band) and wrap around the front and back of my ankle. They are very stable and don't make a clanky sound when I walk.

They are about 2-1/2 inches high.

Are these appropriate to wear?

The graduation is indoors. We are in a warm climate.

I would also assume that pantyhose are OUT of the question?

Thanks!

Yes the shoes sound totally appropriate, sound cute too ;) The only reason I would think pantyhose would not be apporpriate is because of the toe, but they sell them that have an invisable toe, so that wont be a problem. Have fun!

I personally never wear a suit without hose, but I wear stockings which are so sheer, I have had a shoe sales lady insist I put on those little ped things. Get some all sheer summer pantyhose, or better yet wear stockings. I don't touch pantyhose anymore.

It is hot nearly everywhere in summer, but almost all buildings and automobiles and even public transportation is Air Conditioned. Your not going to a ball park, you are going to a university. I am in colleges all the time and even the frat houses have A/C these days.

You must first ask your self " do these (shoes) go well w/ my suit?", and also " are they comfortable?" Try, trying on the complete outfit, and do a quick run through, in front of your mirror. It also never hurts to ask someone around you for an honest opinion. I think if your smart enough to know not to wear stockings, you'll make a good fashion decision!
p.s please don't be the lady in the prom dress! LOL! I witnessed a woman (at least 35) at a graduation just last week, looking as if she was going to prom, or someones bridesmaid! it was a "hott mess"!

i think that will be greaatttt!!! personally though i would reccomend maybe with the suit is it open flared bottoms if ure gonna have the open toe strappy heel maybe finding aa skirt!!!a pencil skirt if not then srtick with it add a big chunky necklace maybe and a stratener for the hair will do the trick also a little khol on the bottom of the eyes and a neutral beige goes will have a sophisticated look and a fem. look

Yes, I would say that the open toes are appropriate for this event. If you were working in an office setting or doing anything work related for that matter, then I would suggest that a closed toe would be more professional, but for a graduation open toe would be fine.

I think it will depend on the lenghth of the suit, how pretty your feet and legs are too. By all means..NO PANTYHOSE! lol. I live in Houston and I see it all the time. You are not going to a job interview so I think it will be appropriate. Congrads on your son's graduation...Hope this helps...

Based on what alot of women are wearing lately you should be just fine in wearing the sandals with the suit. I agree no hose if your wearing the open-toed sandals.

Love to see how you look sure it will be just fine.

I see professional women on the Stamford, CT train platform all the time in a suit and open toe sandals. if it's good enough for work, it's good enough for your son's graduation.

congratulations and good luck!

A suit without hose makes you look trashy. If it's too hot for hose, wear something besides a suit.
