Umm, no. Is it okay to swim in a toilet? I know what alot of you are thinking, but there is not enough chlorine added to those pools to take care of the amount of urine that could be produced if everyone just decided to use the pool as their toilet. Don't be lazy; I know it's inconvenient, but just get out of that pool and go use the toilet like a civilized person should. Thanks.

Some public pools have this thing, that if you pee in the pool, you are incircled with color. Then everyone will know what you just did.

But no, out of common respect for others, it's not right. The reason everyone thinks about doing this, is just laziness. They don't want to get out of the water, and they think, I'm already in water so who is going to know. Besides if you have something wrong with you, how are you to know if the chlorine will kill it. Plus, I think your mother taught you better then to do that. A two year old might do this, but as an adult you should know better.

hahaha great question. On a technical standpoint, anything you release in terms of germs or bacteria would be killed by the chlorine in the water, and the drainage system in most new pools are very advanced so most dirty particles are not a big issue. In terms of drinking the water, there are far more worse things people have consumed without their awareness. But in terms of etiquetes you should not pee anywhere other then the restroom or a form of restroom (i.e- tree when you are in a forest camping and there are no restrooms)
So.. hahaha in the end... please hold it for the restroom, come on don't be that lazy, the restroom is only a few steps away.

This is obviously unethical to urinate in the public pool but it is difficult to control by others. From technical point of view, the effect of urine largely depends upon the volume of water, inflow, water purification systems, and number of persons swimming in the pool.

No, it's not. I mean, the pool water is chlorinated in case such an incident occurs, but no one should purposely urinate in any pool. It's disgusting and, at a certain point, the chlorine wouldn't be enough to handle it.

Yes it's okay as long as no one knows... 25 bucks if you dare doing it while standing outside the pool... Why? It won't make any difference with peeing in the pool, ain't it? It's just about IN and INTO. lol

I am wondering if people really do that..I might have to seriously consider swimming in public pools if people do pee in it. I never do and am happy to read that others think that its gross too.

If you define ok as extremely gross then yes.
Just get your lazy butt out of the pool and to the bathroom- everyone will thank you later.
But in terms of germs- that's what chlorine is for, my friend.

NO !
Any one else in the pool could get affected by it.
They could contract Hepatitis....which is a dangerous disease...
So, dont pee in the pool and dont swim in the pool in which someone has peed...

No way! Why is this even being discussed? It's a moot point, and it's DISGUSTING, unless you're under the age of 3! Period! Next!
