I have seen them in the past and in some movies. Is there a stigma on male cheerleading or is it just not done anymore?

I believe it is just not done anymore...
I wish they'd still go on though.... and see girls play football... and the fans b more girls than guys and for us, girls ;) we'd get guys cheerleading, and cheerleading, and cheerleading, on, and on, and on.... ;)

Well, news 4 u! If there were nice looking dudes (don't realy care if gays or not as long they look solid good and have the moves cause we don't realy wanna have s.x as you probably don't wanna have that with the girls cheerleaders. Am I correct?) cheerleading there as often as possible, we, the GIRLS would be happy to watch whole game next to YOU!!!

They are in college. In the NFL not all teams have cheerleaders. The Steelers don't have any. They don't need them. All the Cheerleaders are is eye candy. Since most fans are guys that's who the cheerleaders are there for.

There is male cheerleaders in college, I see them all the time. In the NFL most guys probably don't want the humiliation of being made fun of by the drunk fans and stuff.

Male cheerleading is big in college, but not so much in high school. I have respect for the guys that can do it. One drop would make for a lot of problems.

There is a stigma, but they're there. Check most of the major college football programs. They have guys cheering.

because most guys want to protect their manly personalities, they don't want to come off as if they are excuse my language, gay. they want to seem like they are manly men who want to bang women and want sports. otherwise they are open to insult from other manly men. this is why men are hesitant to cheer in a cheerleading squad. They would much rather be playing the spot.
