Firstly because she is a multimillion dollar heiress. She is so rich, and leads a very scandalous life, causing much attention to be on her. With the porn movie, the Simple Life, fashion, wild parties, wild behavior, just plain drama, and with her now trying out the music business, Paris Hilton is just everywhere.

i don't know anything about Paris & porn movies but i'm assuming she's famous because of her beauty & all her money.
anyone with money is always being followed around just to see what people with money do. she obviously doesn't mind all the attention.
if i had money, i have no clue how i would act.
we ALL claim that if we had money we would do all kinds of things but the truth of the matter is, us poor folks would probably do the opposite of what we say we would do.
i, myself know i would finally own my home & would put my grandkids in private schools, have a half decent car [ used would be okay ] all my bills would be paid off [yippee] & i would be able to see a doctor when needed, [without stressing about how would i pay my medical bills] etc., etc., etc.!

i think some of it has to do with her being rich and beautiful and that porn helped too. but basically i think she is just known to like the media all around her. she's always nice to the media and paparazzi so that is why she is loved and she brings in big bucks with scandals and all.
