If you take the 20 men and half them to dig 2 wholes in 7 days that means that it will take them twice as long and that would mean that it would take them 14 days. Since you want the 10 men to dig just one whole instead of two you will have to take 1/2 the days that it would take to dig two to determine how long it would be to dig one. The answer is 7.
