It was discovered that there had been a centuries-long cover-up by a male-dominated Church. It originally made it seem that the DaVinci painting of the last supper included only men. But, after much nosing around, the person next to Christ was actually Mary Magdalene, Christ's wife, and the woman who bore his child. The Arc of the Covenant was the female symbol, representing her exterior genitalia (like the shape of the letter "Y"). So chasing the Lost Arc was usually a fool's errand because it wasn't a cup.

Jewish tradition says that parents are responsible for 3 things: teach the child to swim, teach the child the Torah, find the adult offspring a spouse.
So, it seems logical that Jesus, a well-brought up Jewish man from good parents would also have conformed to that tradition.
What the book does is encase this in wonderful puzzles and enfold it all in a country-spanning whirl of a chase led by 2 smart well-intentioned people followed by several doubtful but engaging characters!

The leading lady is told she's a descendant of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. The rest you'll just have to find out by reading the book or seeing the film (don't want to ruin it).

haha-- the woman says she dosnt want to ruin for you yet she tells you the big upset of the movie(-- the fact that the female star finds out she is a decendant). read the book. it is far better than the movie and the details are almost overwhelming there are so many.. very interseting and definitely holds your attention!
