ttyl translates to talk to you later. There is a whole list of chat talk acronyms. I made my daughter give me a list when I first got my computer. Some are easy to figure out like ty and yw (thank you and your welcome), but roflmao stumped me for a while. I had to ask about that one (rolling on the floor laughing my *** off).
Isn't it wonderful the things you can learn by communicating with people on line? Most of the chat talk I've learned since my daughter got me started I learned on a site called pogo.com. It is a game room site that has both a free side and a membership side. I am a member now and I find most of the people funny, entertaining and really helpful! I meet and make friends on a daily basis all over the world. Because most people are laying a game while the are chatting, you learn a lot of chat spellings and shortcuts.
hagd, tc and have lots of fun as you learn all you can about chat.

talk to you later,
don't worry, a friend of mine once asked.... "What's with the "one 0 one"?" And then the short cut 'lol' was explained to him.
