I'm sorry but I use Mary Kay and it is well worth the 15 bucks that I pay for it. It is the only makeup that I have found that gives excellent coverage, but does not look like someone can scrape it off with a butter knife. The rep came to my house looked at my face and told me my exact color and it works perfect. (And I am African American)

I don't reccommend fashion fair because all of their foundations use a lot of orange in them. I've never seen a human being with an orange undertone.

One's to try:

Iman

MAC makeup

Depending on coverage, if your on the lighter side, Lancome is decent and they are making more concealer's in darker tones.

An Elizabeth Arden counter that uses a custom foundation blending machine. They can match any skin tone, and the make-up goes from medium coverage to full with a "second coat" of foundation, while still looking natural.

It's my frustration as well to be very fair skinned, so I too have a hard time finding suitable foundations. But there is a specific lack of foundation choices for my african-american clients and it's frustrating. Most foundations I see around have about two to three colors. It's deplorable in the cosmetic industry in this day and age.

Good luck finding one that suits!

Makeup can make you pretty, it can make you ugly. It all depends on how much you wear. But being an African American, I love my pure skin as it is. Beauty Is Always Skin Deep. Why ruin a face that all ready has beauty within its' self?

Try using Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup. It comes in pressed powder or liquid.

I'm an Esthetician and I sell and use these products every day.

There is nothing better on the market!
