It kind of depends on the type and size of TV you are watching them on. Widescreen TV over 21 inches definitely go with widescreen. Anything smaller or a fullscreen tv then go with the fullscreen option.

Well it depends on what you like.

For fullscreen, that is what you see formatted in the television and series all the time, where the entire expanse of the television screen is filled.

Widescreen is if you want the movie experience, and I suggest this if you have a good entertainment system, or have good audio effects. SImply because of the fact that it heightens a normal viewing to a theatrical viewing, which is so much better.

In my opinion, I like widescreen. ^_^

Widescreen, because it feels more like watching the movie in the theater than full screen. However, some older movies are only available in Full Screen, so in that case, you have no choice but to go for Full Screen. Hope this helps! Enjoy your DVDs!

Widescreen. Higher end TVs are widescreen now and if you upgrade later and watch fullscreen movies they are distorted or won't fit the screen properly.

for most dvds that come out they are being offered in both on one dvd. so get those if they are offered. A real movie buff will probably say that you ought to use widescreen because it is what is actually being shown on the movie theaters screens and is not cropped to make it fit the TV format. I use both interchangeably.

Wide Screen because within 5 years it will be the only way to watch movies on your Television.. Just has VHS is disappearing so will your normal Fullscreen TV.

I think widescreen is better because it doesn't truncate the picture, the way full screen does. with fulls creen two people havinga conversation will show one then move the view to show the other. With widescreen, you see both people in teh conversation.

I like widescreen as you see the whole picture. Full screen could do pan and scan, which alters the director's vision.
