Should Gr.6/7 in elementary school have boy/girlfriends?

Two of my friends have boyfriends and I think it is strange for elementary students to have them. Do you?

"boyfriends" and "girlfriends" are ok at that age--dating is not. If the kids are just hanging around together with nothing physical or serious going on it's ok.

nothing wrong in them having boy friends just as long as it is not let become more than that,

yes it does not matter its just getting you ready for the real world
