I've used iTunes to make my ring tone. find a tune you like, find the 30 seconds you want, show info and enter the start time and end time for the 30 seconds, save by clicking OK.

Go to preference/advance/importing/, then change "Importing Using" switch mp3, then click ok.

Now go to the track you entered the time limit, then go to the Advance menu, select convert selection to mp3.
DONE.

You got it !!
You can go to http://www.crostel.com
It is a FREE site where you can upload any music file or picture and later send them to your phone. They convert the music files in ringtones for you. And the best, you don't need any equipment.

All cellphone service carriers have their own websites, SELLING, SELLING and more SELLING cool whiz-bang still picture graphics ( .jpg), streaming video (.mpeg or .avi) and acutal music ringtone samples (.mp3).

Today's palm sized whiz-bang cool camera cellphones are about as close to a portable PC as you can expect....and soon ahead, we'll see fully capable palm sized actual PC computers--each with the SAME disk space as the desktop ones.
