Value - Worth in some respect, which may be either intrinsic or extrinsic to the things that have it. The most general philosophical issue in the study of value (axiology) is whether values arise from objective or subjective features of experience.

Noncognitivists defend a strict distinction between fact and value, and many contemporary thinkers challenge the presumption that human knowledge can ever be genuinely free of value-judgments.

I think values are definitely objective. Due to the fact that values are usually imaginary laws that you live by. They are like your own set of ten commandments based on what YOU want to accomplish and what YOU want to be. These values are what you live by and they play an important role in molding you to the person you are. If you make it a goal for yourself to shoplift, you become a thief, if you make it a goal for yourself to teach underprivilaged people how to read, you become a very charitable and good person. Same concept is applied to values, your set values molds you into the person you are. Your objectives and how far your objectives go mold you into the person you are in terms of morals, dilligence and opinion.

values can be subjective or objective, depending on your upbringing. basically i believe values are personality traits that protect your inner self. it has to do with respecting yourself as well as others, and doing the next right thing in your life. value is just that , what do you value in your life, and what would you do to protect it. hope it helps.
