Can I press chages on someone after they wrecked my vehicle three months ago. I told them that they had three months to fix it or I was going to press charges and it has been three months and they have not paid for it. Then I found out that he was a drug addict and he left town. I dont think that it is fair that someone wrecked my new truck and got away with it. What can I do?

You can sue him, but you can't press charges unless he stole the vehicle (ie- took it without your permission). Although, it might not be worth it to sue him if he is a drug addict- it's likely he doesn't have any money and it'll cost you money to file suit.

I think you can sue them in court but it might be too late to press charges.

talk to your insurance company if you have one they will help you all the way through to get own money back quickly.

if you can find him you can take him to small claims court and try to get payment that way.
