Such as most of the car payment, instead of all of it due to lack of funds at the moment. (I realize the interest is higher and there are late fees, but sometimes it's all you can do) They should take what you can pay them.

Pancha..you are one of the rudest people I have had to encounter on Y!A. You ignorantly refuse to believe that a question does not always pertain to the actual individual who posed it. I asked this question because I had heard they could not actually refuse any payments. I am not behind on any of my bills, not that anyone's personal business is of your concern. I can see why someone may have felt you went to far on here and may have reported you, but it wasn't me. Maybe you should clean up your filthy reputation. You show your stupidity and pitiful rearing (upbringing, how you were raised) every time you respond. Go back to the immigration section. I hope they kick you off permanently. You get personally insulting to people. You should stick to the questions. Not attack the person.

I believe I heard they do not have to accept it. But send it in -if you had to go to court that would show you tried rather if they sent in back or cashed it. They can sometimes charge enormous late fees (handing, not enough, interest etc). Which might add up to what you sent in(so you gained nothing)
It could be one of those Darn if you do and Darn if you Don't things.
Try talking with a supervisor first and explain many times they will work it out.
Just my suggestions for who ever needs it.

I see meanest from someone.

I had the same issue on a house payment once. They wouldn't take a partial payment, so I sent nothing. I am not sure why they won't but there may be a legal issue with accepting a partial payment.
