This stuff is Temporary, spray-applied marking paint for turf sport pitches, golf courses and athletic fields. Harmless to grass, plants and trees. Non water soluable when dry. Light reflective pigments suppress grass growth. with many colours to choose from... http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=24420

Not sure if it's possible, but maybe put dye in the water you are watering your lawn with? Sounds like a good idea. But that's all I can think of that might work.

You can't really...dye it, but you can certainly paint it. That's how they paint the lines for football fields and such. All you need is the proper paint, and you could do it I guess...but you should check out if it would harm the plants first if you painted a whole lawn.

You'd save a lot of time by choosing a different color scheme- maybe GREEN???
