I got the following from http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/id_password/edit-20.html
What if I forgot my password or Yahoo! ID?
You can get a new password, a Yahoo! ID reminder, or both. Visit the Sign-in Problems page at http://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_forgot_pw?new=1&.done=&.src=&partner=&.intl=us and supply some basic verification information, such as your birthday and the ZIP or postal code you provided when you registered.
Make sure to provide the same information you gave during registration or when you last updated your account. Without the correct verification information, you will not be able to obtain a new password.
I hope this helps.

You can't log on to Yahoo with out your pass word. So, what you have to do is put in your user name (at the login box) and check "forgot my pass word" . As long as you have a valid account, Yahoo will ok your user name and then ask you to answer the question about your verifier, like the name of your dog, or what ever you used when you opened your account. IF you remember that and can answer the question correctly, Yahoo will email you your password or give you a temp. new one. If you get a new one you can go to your account and change that pass word to what ever you want. By then, you might even remember your old one and can use it. Or just give your self a new one. Also, I might suggest you keep your pass words some place safe. One way is to put them in a file WITH NO EXTENSION. That way ,Windows won't be able to open the file (unless you have quick view plus) and when ever you DO want to open it, all you have to do is rename the file and add a "txt" or "doc" extension to it. Then when you are done up-dating it or just checking it, remember to rename it again and don't use an extension.

go to yahoo and click on the link stating that you forgot your password. type in necessary information like email address etc. and then they will send you an email containing a new password. once you login with the new password you can change it to whatever you want. otherwise, i dont think you can find what your password is, sorry. hope i helped! good luck.

When you go to the sign in page, click on forgot password, and fill out the information. Then they will give you a temporary password. You sign in with that password, go to my account and you can change it to what ever you want.

How flaming stupid are you (or blind)...can't you see the link that says 'Forgot your password'?
Man - I have read some Q's on this great site - but it is becoming totally clogged with pure numptys.
Learn to read - or learn the PC and the site you use.
Ever heard of a help link on mostly every site you visit?
Geez! Some folks. DOH!
NOTE!!...If you are blind or short-sighted, or even a young child, then please forgive me for the above comments. My sympathy goes out to you. Use the answer you find best on this page.
If not, then read this from the start 25 times until you understand what I am trying to get through to you.

if you do not remember secret question or exact info you used to open account, ie; birthday, yahoo does not care and will not help you, for good reason, you wouldnt want some other person calling mr yahoo and saying could u gimme my password and them handing it out. If you are unsuccessful unfurtunately you will have to start a new account

You have to have provided an alternate email address when you signed up for your forgotten-password one. If you have a security question set up, you can use that too. Otherwise, you'll have to hack your way back in. Sorry.
