When the bench seat was taken out of vehicles and replaced with the bucket seats there was a connection lost between man and woman since they were no longer connected as one on the seat.

Interesting sociological concept, but i believe the feminist movement was started because of WWII, when woman discovered the joy of making their own way. I must agree that woman wanted the bucket seat, it just sounds right.

No, because the feminist movement goes back to (at least), Mary Wollstonecraft, who lived in the late 18th Century/ early 19th century. The bucket seat was invented in the 1950's.

Wasn't the bucket seat invented to prevent a guy and gal from hugging and mugging up in traffic? I believe it was a safety issue.

I think the feminist movement was started because men didn't fulfill their job. I think that instinctively women want to be taken care of but, men who run out on their responsibilities cause women to have to stand on their own two feet.
