Thermoclines. Look it up. The difference in temperature between ocean surface-level water versus the colder, deeper ocean water lead to the abilty to extract clean energy. You can indeed look it up!

The things we use now have weaknesses, that doesn't stop us from using them. What determines whether or not we will use a power source is (drum roll, please)...
Economics! Whatever is cheap, efficient, and reliable is what we're going to use. I'd like to see hydrogen used as an energy source, but we'll use coal and oil until it runs out.

Steam will make a come back. With all the global warming and all. We could use the heat of global warming to create steam to produce energy. Then again steam is water vapor, and water vapor makes clouds. With so many clouds the globe would cool again.....
Sorry, can't help you.

wut the guy above said, thats an interesting concept. but something like in spiderman 2 if uve seen that movie. if u were able 2 control that sort of power, the energy would be constantly renewing itself because of the way te sun works. only problem is, idk if we do know how it works, and we probably cant contain it, so until then, nuclear powerplants. put uranium, 2 good use
