trust (in relationship) means having a faith/belief in someone even though they commit mistakes and/or they're being dishonest..
honest, on the other hand, means being truthful, may it be for the good or bad of anyone.simply, it's just telling the truth..you can trust someone whose dishonest but being honest doesn't make you trustworthy..

Good question. To me trust and honesty have to do with giving without expectation or fear of what might happen or how you may make someone feel. Trust can be built from nothing but once it is broken it is very very difficult to restore, sometimes impossible to restore. Honesty is kind of the same way but I think it has more to do with your perspective. Trust and honesty together work to help bond a good healthy relationship but can actually hurt a relationship where people have unrealistic expectations. For instance, if you told your partner that you have feelings for someone else, that's honesty. When your partner accepts and understands, that's trust. But, when you tell your partner you have feelings for someone else and your partner has a fit, then your partner doesn't accept your honesty but instead makes you feel terrible for how you naturaly feel and you then are less likely to be honest in the future. This last example is one of a unhealthy relationship with a selfish partner who would guilt you for your honesty. Pretty interesting stuff huh?

trust and honesty are two good things to have. Trust means to be able to depend on someone and you wont worry about that certain person screwing you over cause you trust him/her. (thats an example) Honesty is to be to tell the truth....the whole truth! That also goes with trust because you believe that person is honest so you trust him/her. These are my words but here is what the dictionary says!
TRUST
Firm reliance on the integrity, ability, or character of a person or thing.
Custody; care.
Something committed into the care of another; charge.
a. The condition and resulting obligation of having confidence placed in one: violated a public trust. b. One in which confidence is placed.
Reliance on something in the future; hope.
Reliance on the intention and ability of a purchaser to pay in the future; credit.
Law a. A legal title to property held by one party for the benefit of another. b. The confidence reposed in a trustee when giving the trustee legal title to property to administer for another, together with the trustee's obligation regarding that property and the beneficiary. c. The property so held.
A combination of firms or corporations for the purpose of reducing competition and controlling prices throughout a business or an industry.
HONESTY
The quality or condition of being honest; integrity.
Truthfulness; sincerity: in all honesty.
Archaic Chastity.
Botany A European plant (Lunaria annua) cultivated for its fragrant purplish flowers and round, flat, papery, silver-white seedpods. Also called money plant, satin flower, silver dollar.
I hoped that helped!

I "trust" a chair to hold me, so therefore I sit down in it. Without "trust" I would never sit down in that chair. "Honesty" means , no fake, no pretense, no falsehood....clean, and decency....pure, and open for the whole world to examine.

Hard to define individually but a person who possesses these qualities has good morals. To me a person with good morals is someone who does the right thing when nobody is looking.
