The other day i decided to be something like a father when i saw my daughter playing jump rope with her friends..I wanted to help her look cool and since i was quite the jump roper back in the day i went downstairs to play..well when they finnaly let me play i started to jump rope with the kids...But when I was jumping my chest got free from my wifebeater and started hitting me in the forhead..I was concentrating so much on the game that i didnt notice that everyone was laughing untill i heard my daughter run upstairs crying. I went after her and told her only sissies cry and to suck it up..she then started laughing at me because my chest was still sticking out...this is the sad part...I was so embarressed that i went into my room locked the door and let it all out...how can i ever show my face on the streets again..with my ruined rep?

First of all I'm assuming only kids saw you in that embarassing moment....so it could have been worse.
Secondly, when are you going to buy a sports bra?...to prevent future episodes.
Thirdly, tell you're daughter you are sorry...you'll look like a bigger person in her eyes (no pun intended).

It would seem that you would have stopped once you noticed that occurring. Why wait until all the little kids were laughing? I'm sure your daughter just loved you for telling her that only sissies cry. Everyone cries or at least feels as though they want to at some point.
There is nothing else I can add to this answer considering the fact that I do believe this to be made up.

It's good you were trying to be involved in your daughters life, Im not sure telling her that only sissies cry was a healthy thing to say(unless you were just joking and trying to make her laugh) I know you must feel embarrassed but you have to take life as it comes. Little kids can be brutally honest and dont always consider what could be causing your weight problems and just judge without mercy(as do some adults who should be ashamed of themselves!) Children often forget things quickly, it may have been funny to them at first but Im sure it has gotten old by now and theyve already moved on, as should you. Life is full of embarrassing moments we would all like to forget..just remember "This too shall pass" Keep your head up. Good luck!

I think you could look at this in a better way.
As embarrassing as it was it is a chance for you to demonstrate to your daughter what adults do when faced with embarrassing situations. Adults dust themselves off and continue through life.
I am sorry that you were humiliated in front people, but if you shake it off you can show your daughter that no matter what you are a strong person and someone she can look up to.
I think it is very important that you really apologize to your daughter. Talk about when she wants you to be included in her playtime with friends.
If anyone tries to laugh at you about it laugh with them and shrug it off. Finding a cool something to make up for it might be a good idea as well.

um.....why did you pic that picture while you can pic a pretty picture like from the avatar
dont worry!
jump ropes are for sissies anyway!
you should tell ur daughter that ture love never gets embarresed...and your neighbors will make mistakes some day...then make a smirke and make them feel pathetic too
no biggie...from the jumprope thing it dosent seem like your daughter is that old.
just learn from your mistakes and dont get humiliated...your just embarressing about your humlity too
so keep it cool
dude!

Muscle up !! Kids learn by example, so if you need to be healthy then do it! they will follow everything you do , you may not see it now . however just start and everything will follow !!lose weight and exercise ,and play with your kids. find something you can do together as a family like tennis or baseball. you are there leader we as parents need to set a example for there healthy future!! good luck

I've been reading your questions, and I think it's amazing that you manage to coerce positive and empathetic feedback from people with each and every agonizing question you post. You insult us all, and you love it. I'd say think about that but it's obvious that you have and you just get off on it. You've definitely got my attention, but you won't be getting any helpful advice from me.

you don't have to look good for everybody...we're all humans..we're imperfect, we make mistakes..but as long as you keep your love ones in your heart, always making them happy, no matter how stupid you look they will still love you and be proud of you...
it's just a matter of accepting our faults and imperfections.
