There is really no way to tell, each pregnancy is different. The last weeks can be tough on you. You wait as long as you can, or they will induce labor. Good luck!

No one can really say.

Some women reach the point you're at and go into labor. Other women walk around dilated and effaced for weeks.

The weight estimates are just that: estimates. They can be off by more than a pound. So don't let that scare you.

You're so close to the end. It sucks, I know. It's so hard to keep on sharing your skin with someone else during those last weeks! But it really is better to let it happen naturally.

If you want to speed it along you could try....

1) As hard as it is to get around, walk a lot even speed walk. I
power walked around the mall for about 1.5 hours and had to
go from the mall straight to the hospital.

2) My brother drove my sister-in-law up a mountain.... Sounds
dumb but the altitude helped kick things in to gear. She did that
with both of her kids.

Sorry... that wasn't much to go on but that's the only things I know that have worked. I would say that you could go any time between now and maybe 1week or so. I was fully effaced and 3cm for a couple of days ( thought I'd go nuts).

I hope that helped. Good luck, and for your sake I hope your baby decides that coming out sooner is better.

Well you are pretty far along, and the doctor probably wont let you go to far over your due date, the doctor may induce your labor. Don't let the 2 cm get you excited I was dilated to 3 for 2 months and still went 5 days over my due date, and my daughter weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz. good luck and congratulations

Theres no telling how long it will be till you go into labor. Even though you are dialted, it can mean weeks before your little one arrives. And your doctor just estimates the weight. theres no knowing for sure how much the baby weighs. So just be patient and enjoy the time alone. Because once there here, its up all night!

every pregnancy is different if your baby is getting too large they might induce you but it depends on your doctor cuz they dont wanna have a malpractice suit if your baby dies cuz of underdeveloped lungs or something. i m saying this cuz with my 3rd baby i was 4 cm's for a week and better i ran walked climbed stairs and everything and still couldnt have a baby. i was hospitalized for like 2 weeks on and off at the 34-36 week mark because of dehydration thats how my contractions kept starting and making me dilate. the nurse finally decided the one night i went in that i would prolly have the baby within 24 hours and because the babys heartrate was lower than usual they decided to break my water. Just be careful if you dehydrate yourself it will definetly work but you dont wanna effect your amniotic fluid levels cuz thats how the baby breaths i didnt purposely dehydrate myself just couldnt get hydrated good luck is it a boy or girl?? ps my friend was 5 1/2 cm's for 4 days before they finally decided to induce her and she was 2 days before due date

Put a couple drops of clary sage oil in some castor oil and rub it on your belly. Then place a heating pad over it for 15 minutes. This will start your contractions and you will be in labor. The midwife I work for does it all the time and it works every time.
