Last year I made a jello cake, make a white cake, bake it and after it is cool, poke holes in it with a straw. Then make a batch of red or blue jello (all of the hot water on the recipe and 1/2 of the cold water), then pour it gently into the holes. Refrigerate until the jello is set (a few hours) and top with cool whip and either strawberries or blueberries.

OR for a non-refrigerated idea, make spritz cookie dough and run it thru a cookie press with the blade that has a long slit with one smooth edge and one jagged edge. When the cookie dough comes out it will be like a ribbon. Shoot these right onto a cookie sheet and then cut them into the dimensions of a flag. Use red sugar and sprinkle them over the "stripes" in the dough. Leave a little room in the corner for blue sugar. They really look like little flags after you cook them. And they are delicious. Use your favorite spritz dough or email me for mine.
Happy 4th!

i make a flag cake. just buy a box of white cake mix and make it according to the directions in a rectangular shaped pan. when it cools, frost it with either cool whip or white frosting. then take blueberries in the upper left corner and place them to resemble the stars on the flag. then take strawberries and put them in lines to create stripes. simple and delicious. definitely Can be refrigerated.

I don't have a recipe on hand, but I saw a cake in a mag. once. Just a sheet cake, rectangular, frosted with white, then for the stars, blueberries, and for the stripes, sliced strawberries. You could definitely refridgerate it. Have fun!

Red white and blue trifle
layer, angel food cake with custard and strawberries and blue berries (crushed amaretto biscuits in between are good too) in a trifle dish.
Top it with sparklers!

angel food cake because its light and fluffy with strawberries and blue berries , kind of like strawberry shortcake with a blue berry twist, add some whipped cream and there you go, red white and blue and cool and easy

THREE ITEMS.
1. GRAHAM CRACKER PIE CRUST
2. TUB OF COOL WHIP
3. ANY FLAVOR OF YOGURT ( STRAWBERRY IS RED)
In a large bowl with a spoon mix cool whip and yogurt together. Put into pie crust and refrigerate until firm. Very tasty.

Red jello, whipped cream, and blue jello layered together. I know wal-mart or schwans may sell red white and blue rocket popsicles.
