Absolutely NOT. wash your whites together, then you light colored things together, towels washclothes and the like together. Blue Jeans and sweats and fleece shirts together. I use warm water for everything. I also use bleach for towels washclothes, because I don't want to use a washclothe on my face that has been on someone else's Tail.

Yes you can...in fact you can even throw your dog in if he needs it BUT why would you? Good habits start young and if you learn the right way from the start then you never have to kick yourself when something goes wrong. I know that right now your clothes don't really matter to you but just think about when one shirt costs over $100- are you still going to be mixing things like before??? When you do mix lights and darks...your lights start to grey. Whites should be washed in hot water, lights in warm and darks in cold water to prevent bleeding and fading. The directions on your clothes are there to help your clothes live longer and therefore cost you less money...so you can get those cool shoes to match.

By using cold water you should be good to go. I try to wash the dark items at least once without light clothes and natural fibers tend to bleed more than synthetic. Just don't leave the items in the wash - wet items next to each other can bleed.

You always sort your laundry out by colors. Whites, Darks,Light, And perma press for a reason. If you don't your colors will run even if It's cold because red and black if next to a white piece of clothing will bleed together so I suggest you follow directions. Ask MOM!

You can, but BE CAREFUL, make sure not to put any bleach in or your clothes will get ruined. I wouldn't recommend doing a lot b/c your whites will turn real dingy and you will NEVER be able to get that dingy color out of them not even with bleach.
Also you should wash your whites in HOT water to kill all bacteria that lives on most people's whites (i.e. undergarments)

Yes, but I don't recommend putting anything red in with your whites. Also, if the garment hasn't been washed before and it is a dark color, all your whites may wind up that color. Good luck.
(Although you didn't ask, the best policy is to separate whites from colors).

As long as you don't have whites in with colours, then you're good to go.
