The easiest way is to check with the secretary who is responsible for keeping the minutes accurate. When you present the discrepancy, ordinarily that person would be grateful for the correction.

If the minutes with the error have already been voted as approved, however, then the only way is to have that error brought to the floor at the next meeting as a correction to the minutes. Votes are usually unanimous.

It depends on the rules in that town -- but, probably you just need to present it to the board, and submit it as a correction for an error.
