depends on what model you purchase. only certain ipod comes with a universal charger. the rest just the usb cable you connect from your ipod to the computer for download . You can use the usb cable to charge from the computer but it takes a long time to fully charge the ipod. if u can afford it buy an ipod universal charger where you charge from any A/C outlet.....

your ipod charges when it is connected to the computer. Some people prefer to have a separate charger so that they don't have to turn computer on/off just to charge the ipod.

HI

My friend has an Ipod Nano...and we just hooked it up for her last night. You have to keep it connected to the computer until it's done charging. It took hers like 2 hours to charge..or more. You can download videos and songs while it's charging.
So yes..you have to keep it connected to the computer....

Yes, the cable that you use to connect to your computer is also your charger. It will charge while plugged in the USB port. I would recommend a docking station.

Yes, just plug the Ipod to the same thing you plug it to the computer, and plug that to the wall.
