Diversify it.... invest in a few different things.... e.g.

Invest $333,333.00 in a few pieces of CAREFULLY researched pieces of land with development potential.

Another $333,333 in a mixture of Government bonds, Gold & Silver bullion (in bar and coin form) + a High interest savings account + a collection of stamps for investment purposes.

The remaining $333,334 on the stock exchange, split between
- Annheuser-Busch (BUD)
- Walmart (WMT)
- Union Pacific (UNP)
- Canadian Pacific (CP)
= $83,333.50 on each.... hold onto 'em for at least 20years, reinvesting the dividend payments on expanding your holdings.

Hedge funds, but do your research first. Not all of them have had excellent returns. If you want to be safe, get a fund with a market neutral strategy that has a low standard deviation in their returns. You probably would do good investing half in real estate as well, but buy agricultural land so you can avoid the hefty taxes. Then wait for the interest rates to come down and you'll be able to develop/sell it. At least that's how it is in Florida.

For solid return on your investment (10% +) and minimal risk, investing in real estate developing firms is the way to go. They constantly need money and deliver solid returns. A company I personally invest with offers 15% return on investment if you invest between $250K - $500K. For more information, feel free to email me at info@adpsac.com
