A sense of wonder at the ordinary, and the use of phrase, eg., "ragtime strewn behind it like pearls." Wow!
Miracle Ice Cream
by Adrienne Rich
Miracle's truck comes down the little avenue,
Scott Joplin ragtime strewn behind it like pearls,
and, yes, you can feel happy
with one piece of your heart.
Take what's still given: in a room's rich shadow
a woman's breasts swinging lightly as she bends.
Early now the pearl of dusk dissolves.
Late, you sit weighing the evening news,
fast-food miracles, ghostly revolutions,
the rest of your heart.

I like the poem 'Living in Sin'. I first met it in an exam, and had fun with it. Later when I was studying feminist poets I met it again, and saw it from a different angle. It reflects the truth of a lot of the relationships that women have with men. The whole idea of being free, yet not.
The other one is 'The Rape', because it deals with the brutality that a lot of women experienced when reporting being violated and having to undergo the what is in actuality the 'second' rape which is more devastating than the first.
