I quit for a month last year but started back because I was eating everything in the house(food, cabinets, pets). Any tricks to avoid that and does the hunger go away after a while?

40 Lbs. Baby ! I smoked for 27 yrs. and it has been 7 1/2 since I quit. I went from 180Lbs. to 220Lbs. I now weigh 197 and am in great shape.Quiting smoking was the next best thing to quiting alcohol that I have ever done for myself. No regrets at all.I run now and lift weights.I've been doing both every since I got off all the poisons.I'll be 48 yrs. old next month and have the body of a Greek God.The photo on my Avatar is about 6mos. after I quit. I look a lot better than that now.

Yes, I gained about 10-15 pounds when I quit smoking. Exercise and eat healthier is the best advice I can offer. I found that substituting good habits for bad ones made it easier to stay off the cigarettes. I also had to avoid alcohol for the first few months. It triggered massive nicotine cravings. It's worth it all, though. I haven't smoked in 4 years and I feel great! Good Luck!!
