elevate it above the heart, and ice it for 20 min every 2 hours. Motrin is an excellent anti-inflammatory (reduces swelling and pain)

try some Chinese herbal tea...
the bitter the better...consult the Chinese doctor first...
go to nearest china town,
they usually have an in-house specialist and will check your pulse etc..
