Between those two brands I prefer. Avon. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Besides, Mary Kay stuff tends to make my face break out.
But I normally wear Cover Girl anyway.

Avon has great skin care products, latest, innovative technology,
they really WORK!
Avon also has great bath and body products, makeup, cute clothing and purses,shoes, etc.
Mary Kay has the best eye shadows and mascara I have ever used.
Mary Kay also has very nice fragrances and spa line.
So I like both.

It depends on what I'm buying I prefer Mary Kay for eyeshadow and blushes and their skin care line has worked wonders for me. But when it comes to lipstick and nail polish I prefer Avon...they have a huge color selection and it's much cheaper but still a very good product. Both have their pwn positives....but then I'm addicted to shopping too.
