Is it true that is a bad thing for women to wear cowboy boots in the summer. Is it like once Memorial Day comes around whip off the Cowboy boots and come Labor Day put away the whites and wear the boots again.?
I read that it is unacceptable to wear them in the summer. I have never worn them so I don't know any fashion ettique with this. Just seemed interesting.

wear what you want darling!!!! if you want to wear boots to the beach go ahead. theres no sort of ettiquite to follow...although i would never wear boots other that in the winter....for you it may be a fashion deal. but the majority of the people i know wear them because it keeps their feet warm in the winter. but if you want to wear it as a fashion statement, you go girl!!! dont worry about after laborday and before easter....i think thats just a myth anyway..........goodluck

I think that it kind of depends on the conditions that you are living in. For example, if you are in a hotter climate like SoCal (where I live), I wouldn't wear boots in the summer just because it would get so incredibley hot and sweaty. I live in flip flops and slip ons. But if you live somewhere that is cooler, then I think it would be perfectly fine to wear boots if you have the outfit to match.

The whole "don't wear white after labor day" thing isn't really a rule. no one is going to look at you and laugh if you're wearing white. its more of a fact that in the winter people tend to wear darker clothing and shoes. White shoes in the winter and fall would just seem a bit weird. but no body really cares.

Truthfully I don't know but I think that boots in the summer will not look really good unless you work on a farm. but those cowboys boots looked good on Jessica Simson on these boots were made for walking (I hate that song no effence). But Yes after Labor day you pull out the boots but i don't know when you put them back up.

There is no truth to that story. I've seen women wear boots all year round. In fact, in farm & ranch country - it is almost mandatory!

Even Emily Post and Ann Landers say that there is no valid reason for "not wearing white before Memorial Day" and other such nonsense. So, if you are wanting to wear boots - do it!

I say go for it get some boots and wear 'em when you want to.

They actually look cute with a sundress.

In Texas, people wear boots 365 days of the year if they want to.

Be an individual, and wear what YOU think looks good and YOU like, who cares what Emily Post or Mr. Blackstock thinks?

You go girl!

If you're wearing cowboy boots at all, you're already pretty much thumbing your nose at the elitist fashion establishment. Once you've already crossed that Rubicon, it's no holds barred. Wear what you want. There isn't a rule for that.

I wear cowboy boots everyday, but then again im riding everyday too. i think the stylish cb boots are kinda funky, since it kinda makes real horsemen and women look wimpy.... i feel like you only wear cb boots if you know how to ride....
