Soccer is the only sport where an ejected player is not replaced. If a "sent-off" player is replaced then we'll see a lot more red cards because teams would not be penalized as severely and they would schedule more "fluff" games to kill off red card suspensions. Another tactic would be to send in a sub to take out an opponent's star player, let the sub take the red card and be suspended and sub in a good player afterwards.

I agree with you but we have to control the behavior of the players or they will just run riot. That's unhealthy for the game. However, referees have got to be careful before handing out red cards. The whole world was shocked today when a Ukrainian player was sent off for an offence he did not commit and a penalty illegaly awarded against his team.

no, because that punishes the whole team which is good because that will make people play a cleaner game with less stopping & stuff. Besides, I recently played in a game that the ref didn't call anything in and now, I have a fractured knee cap, bone bruises, and a strained ligament. I'll be in physical therapy until I can walk again.

Interesting concept upon initial reading!
However, upon a little thought..
This simply is not practical, not enforceable, not realist, not true and I am sure the intelligent people in the games ruling bodies have thought of this concept or similar and dismissed it also!
But many thanks, Interesting ..
Keep it up!
Cheers..:-)

It isn't about being entertaining. It is about winning or losing.
