Starting skills are...destruction...alteration...illusion...mysticism...restoration...security...and speechcraft...Is that good? How do you get into the mages guild?

Those skills do seem to be good, but it really depends on what you want to do in the game, what you want your style of play to be. I prefer just to hack and slash, so i made a warrior, whereas a mage is better for just hanging back and attacking from a distance. To get into the mages guild you have to go to one of the guild headquarters, im not positive what towns they are in, and ask around. Anybody in the building should give you an answer to who you need to talk to to get initiated. After you talk to them, you will need to complete miniature wuests in each town with a guild hall before you are truly accepted.

I would have chosesn conjuration. But if your looking for the mages guild, talk to any guard any city. ask for directions then ask for the guilds
