Get a "Haynes Manual" (search google for this) They are very useful for general car maintainence.

there should be a plug on the passenger side of the oil pan to drain the motor oil and a plug on the bottom of the transmission pan. the oil filter is contained in a canister somwhere on your engine and it should have a lid with a 13mm hex bolt right in the middle. also, most of the older cars dont have them but there may be an underbody panel that you might have to remove to access the oil pans. good luck with that. btw the engine oil plug should be a 13mm too.

To change the trans fluid, drop the pan. There is no drain plug. You need to drop the belly pan to get access to the trans. The factory procedure is to flush it using special equipment. Draining it by dropping the pan removes less than half of the fluid.

To change the oil, remove the belly pan to get at the oil sump. Actually, the factory procedure is to siphon it out through the dipstick tube.
