I remember watching that movie where cars were flying around and the traffic signs were like reallllllly tall. And I also remember that simpsons episode where homer had a hover car. Its cool. If a car can fly, it would look like an airplane almost. It would take more energy and we are running out of energy fuels sources.
So yeah, it could happen, but we need the brains and the resources

They already have made flying cars as far back as 1957. Moller and Ford developed a 3 cylinder Lycoming engine powered Aero-Car. They built 10 of them that all flew. There are 3 still in existence, one at the Museum Of Flight at the Boeing Museum in Seattle, Washington. The FAA refused to allow Ford a license to continue to build and market them because they were worried about their ability to control traffic effectively.

I don't think cars will ever fly until we can figure out how to make things float and not crash to the ground when they are broken. Imagine a crash in the sky that caused the vehicles to come crashing down to make another accident on the ground. Yeah, it would be horrific.
Until we figure out how to make matter float, I don't see flying cars happening. Yes man is smart enough to build a car that can fly... that is without doubt... but I don't see it happening until we can figure out how to make a broken car fly. Sorry for being repetitive, just wanted to get my point accross clearly.

It all depends on whether or not the world is ready for something like that. Naturally no one is ready for change, maybe small change but not huge change, and flying cars falls under the huge change category. But I think it'd be cool to see flying cars before I die, and not just hovercraft, actual flying cars.

No because how would traffic be? We could never have street signs or objects that could stay above ground level for long periods of time. I do think there is quicker travel but I don't think its from cars flying.

Cars could fly, people just need to figure out some chemistry. Just need to spilt some atoms and combin them to create some anti-gravity. That's all

In my opinion yes, almost everything you see in science fiction movies come to reality, they are seeds for our future, so,...with that said, it is just a matter of time, but the big problem is organizing a safe route system that won't let everybody crash into each other, lol

it literally can, imagine the whole plane is a car, it flies.
I dont know why people don't look into this. Very good question.
I think it's because, when a car flies, they call it plane already
