I am going to produce CDs of my scanned image. What if some one modify the contents and produce another CD. How can I differentiate between original CD and modified one?

You can copy-protect the CD so that copying will become much more difficult. However if someone wants to make a copy, they will, and u simply cant stop them. However if you simply want to be able to tell the differance of the CD, u can keep record of the Date created, Last Date edited, Created By Whom. By right clicking the file, then click more, and voila, its there. If u simply want to make sure u dont get a 'Copy' after giving away the orginal, just use a permanent marker and mark the CD using a very obstructed symbol that cant be copied.

Pay to get your material on commercial CDs, ala what real companies do for music, games, etc. They are higher quality and easy to differentiate from the bootleg recordable CDs.

Of course, it won't actually stop people from pirating your stuff. But few pirates will spend the money to actually create professional CDs when recordables are so cheap.

To just burn it and give it away to someone it becomes public domain. If you want any protection you will have to copyright it. If this is a data disk you can make note of the file size and date created / date modified.
If you have Win XP, right clk on the top tool bar of the folder it is in and select 'more'. You can check any box of info. you want displayed. (date modified) If this doesn't answer your question, you have to give more info. such as: the format of your burnt disk. (.jpg or authoring program like Roxio or Nero)
