Because they prefer meat that they won't take a chance with mad cow. Cows are herbavors and are not suppose to eat meat. And especially there own kind. They are bound to get something from that. There are so many steroids in the meat at the store and Antibiotics which is causing our children to go into puberty younger and younger. Don't even get me started with milk.Deer is very healthy. Almost no fat. The animals in the wild eat what they are suppose to eat. They don't eat meat fed to them by people who want them to grow faster with steroids and antibiotics. Chickens that are bread not to have any feathers so you don't have to clean them. I don't even want to know what they feed them. And Chickens that do nothing but lay eggs caused by god knows what kind of food additive. Chickens usually only lay one Egg a day. I hate sqirrel meat though. Too Gamey. Bear is good but has more fat. I won't touch a groundhog or a possum though. That would be to me,like eating an overgrown rat. By the way I don't consider myself a redneck either.

Most (but not all)Rednecks live in a economically challenged part of the country. Most live in a rural community, where the poverty level is very high. so when they hunt, it is to supplement their family's diet.

I hunt. I'm not a redneck. We have an endless number of meat in our freezer. We KNOW there's nothing wrong w/it. Unlike The store meat we don't know what kind of crap they put in that meat. So we're healthier. Please get a life and come live where we KILL the animals.
