As I understand the bases:
1st is kissing
2nd is feeling up the shirt
3rd is feeling down the pants/skirt
4th is sex
is this correct?
Is there a good way to ask a girl if she wants to go to 2nd? I have only been to first.
If she says yes, any tips or techniques you lovely ladies/guys could suggest?
If you haven't noticed, I am not very experienced with physical love and want to do it right and just make my gf feel good and special.

You are missing lots of experiences on the way, stroking hair gently, or walking arm in arm,or with arms encircling each others' waists or enjoying the feel of her head resting on your chest. Savor each new contact and enjoy that. Rushing into things will just rob you of a lot of good stuff and make your girl feel used. Rubbing a back is great and a nice in-between to step two. Be creative! This is a way of expressing affection, and not a goal to be accomplished. You might just ask her gently, may I? Don't get to sexual intercourse unless you are really absolutely positive that you are ready to co-parent a child with this girl. I know people who got pregnant without removing clothes.

Ask! Women love when a man has enough confidence to ask what she wants and how far she is willing to go. Just don't say can I go to 2nd base, say Is it ok if I touch you here or are you comfortable with the speed we're moving or whatever floats your boat. It's all about timing...

To hell with "bases", don't even bring those up. When you are kissing and it starts getting hot and heavy feel whatever you want to feel and if she doesn't want you to or she isn't ready she'll stop you. Just respect her, don't force her.

It's not something that's discussed, you just do it. That's how that works. Just work your way up to stuff and if she's not interested she'll definitely let you know. Also, "bases" are ridiculous.
