i have this friend. And shes a girl. But not my girlfriend, just a friend. Im straight. We are sooooo close. Is it weird if we sit on each others lap and drink out of the same cups and kiss each other on the cheek when we say bye??? I dont think of it as weird just as good friends. Were not lesbians, just friends. Is it weird we do things like that??

If your really great friends, like you claim then who cares what other people think.. lots of people share cups, and drinks and i went to Italy and everyone kisses eachother there lol so dont worry about how it might look. Cuz im tellin yeah as long as your comfortable with what your doing, thats all thats important.

Are you sure you are straight??? If you were, you would not be worrying about what you do with your female friend... In france, I kiss all my friends on the cheek, and sit on my friends' laps female and male, and I do not feel bad about it... Here in America, it is weird... as long as you know you are straight, don't worry about what anyone thinks... But be careful...

It does not seem weird at all friends at least good ones are like family ....kissing is a sign of affection and sharing things is just natural. Have no fear but be true to yourself...If you are having doupts about your feelings for her there is nothing wrong with that. Just make sure she is not uncomfortable with you expressing your loving nature.

i don't think so but to be honest, i would think you guys were lesos at first glance..lol only becasue im not a touchy feely person with members of the same sex excpet my daughter and mother and stuff, come to think of it i used to hold my friends hands as a kid..lol
It also depends on your culture too.. im from austalia a counrty girl, ive lived in citys and all over the place seen all sorts of things, some of my friends are gay ,but when my brother married a korean girl she would try to grab my hand while we were walking down the street and try to dance real close to me at the pub..lol and it freaked me out, but thats how some cultures are with their friends so don't worry about it, it's all normal.

Could I ask how old you are? I teach young teens and the behavior you describe is not uncommon at that age. I would say that as you get older, you may decide that you aren't as comfortable with it as you were. I figure it will be a mutual decision.

I seen a lot of girls sitting on eachothers lap, and kiss eachother as a greeting. It's normal.

No, it sounds as if you two have a very close relationship, it is like you two consider each other sisters or something.

I think it depends how old you are. A lot of straight girls become quite affectionate with other girls at high school and college ages.'
It's cool if you are a lesbian though :)
