Yes, you don't go from being the deadliest enemies for 40 years and become good friends. Even today you can see it in the UN and other affairs, when the US brings up something, Russia is usually the first one to speak against it.

We and Russia today might not be enemies but make no mistake, we definitely are not friends either.

No - the Russian's were never our enemy. The Soviet government was. I think a lot more people distrust our own government more than distrust Russians in general.

Your questions are from a us of a pointb of view, so i'm able to't answer maximum of them straight away. i keep in mind that relations individuals in West Coast Canada practiced survival camping out in wintry climate in case there replaced right into a nuclear attack. Yes I do, not the Russian people but the Russian government. It is funny to me to find out that the people face the same problems that we do, they are really not that much different. But the government is not to be trusted any more then ours is, especially at this time.

The Russians still take every opportunity to usurp our interests and aid our enemies. Putin was a KGB bigshot and does not trust the U.S. one bit. Although they aren't the threat they once were, they sure aren't friendly.
