Let the child be with daddy as much as possible.
Especially if dad wants him/her around. Children
don't understand the problems that cause parents to
breakup. Love the child, let daddy play a big role in life,
even if it cause you discomfort. The child will love you more
for it and when he/she grows up your child will understand
the sacrifices you made and be also more understanding.
Sorry, I am assuming you are separated from the child's dad.
If not, be thankful that daddy is such a great guy and is loved
by this beautiful child.

Its normal and all children want that. My 13 year old wanted his dad and I to be together some 10 years after we parted. This is normal. They will grow out of it. I would suggest "we" time if you can set aside your differences to spend time with the child and the other parent together. Use age appropriate dialog to explain that you really don't get along but the time spent together produced him or her..

I assume the child is a boy since "his dad" was used... of course little man wants to be with daddy... it may break your heart but in his eyes he wants to be daddy's boy not momma boy... talk to him depending on his age, explain that right now he can't be with daddy, or if he is older then go more into detail.... good luck.

Well if you keep him from going he will hate you for that and if you let him go you will worry your self sick but i think you should open the door and let him go also tell him that the door will still be open if he wants to come back but only once
