God wants you to prosper.
Christians must show God that they can be trusted with money.
1 Corinthians 4:2 tells us “Moreover it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy.”
We are all expected to be good stewards of that wealth with which God has entrusted us.
Luke 14:33 , Jesus tells us “So therefore, no one of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.”
This does not mean that Christians cannot prosper but that they must know that God is their source and do with their money as Jesus directs. If Christians were poor, they would not be able to do “every good deed” which God intends for them to do. The money would be lacking to help the needy and to support the local and universal church as well as evangelistic outreaches through missionaries, radio, and television to fulfill the Great Commission. That’s why Satan tries to tell Christians that they’re not supposed to prosper.
Deuteronomy 28:2 says ““And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you will obey the LORD your God.”
Matthew 6:33 , “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.”
